Making a List and Checking it Twice: Was the Election Proper?

There are many signs that something went amiss on Tuesday. Most either involve small numbers of votes or wispy evidence, but all need to be cleared up. The mainstream press has made the mistake of devoting little ink to any of this. For example, this article in the Times about the discrepency between the exit polls and the election results doesn't even mention that these discrepencies were, according to some analyses, present when electronic voting was used, but not when paper ballots were. Now, the latter analysis may be wrong. But what would make the most sense is for organizations like The Times to investigate these things and give each a thumbs up or thumbs down. You might write the Times and tell them as much.

In any case, our friends at Bopnews have a list of 38 articles (and counting) on the subject.
