Immunization Fallacy

A must-read: Yglesias argues against appeasement, specifically against the notion that any politician can be immune to right-wing attacks. As Morat notes therein, it's 100% agreement with the Republiican leadership, or they bring out the traitor baton.

Most amusing of all is the sequel, in which some rightwingnut says that if Jesus were to run for President, he would denounce him for being soft on crime. No really, I'm serious, go read it, honest.
