Our Contract With America
displacedyankeedemocrat revs up for 2006, with a unified strategy of hammering on Republican Housemember support for ethics violator Tom DeLay, and a contract:
-Democrats will fight for a balanced budget amendment.
-Democrats will bring back overtime pay for those who lost it.
-Democrats will not allow indicted leaders to serve in leadership posts.
-Democrats will not allow for votes to be extended beyond their normal time.
-Democrats will fight to cut porkbarrel spending.
-Democrats will investigate abuses of power by anyone, either Republican or Democratic.
-Democrats will push for tougher campaign finance reform to clean up the influence of corporate money in Washington.
